Itinerary
You will be picked up outside of the Costa Maya cruise ship terminal
You’ll step aboard our air conditioned vehicle that will take you to the ancient mayan city of Chacchoben.
Uncover the mysteries of the ancient mayans as you walk through the buildings and structures of Chacchoben. Weave through the winding, natural paths and experience the grandeur of this exciting archaeological site.
After the mayan ruins it will be time to relax in Bacalar, we’ll ride to our beautiful marina right on the Bacalar Lagoon.
We’ll cruise out in our pontoon boat for relaxation and pampering by our attentive crew as you take in captivating views of Bacalar that will leave you breathless, where you will have the opportunity to splash in the clear waters of this stunning lagoon. As soon as we start our adventure in the lagoon you’ll be amazed by the different shades of blue and understand why is frequently referred as the 7 color lagoon. During the tour our crew will prepare a delicious and healthy fruit snack that will be perfect for the occasion.
After we are done with our boat tour we will take you to our favorite restaurant to enjoy some delicious and authentic mexican tacos (pork, beef or shrimp) served along guacamole. (We have vegetarian and vegan options upon request).
Finally we will take you back to port Costa Maya on time to board your ship.

FAQs
Costa Maya cruise-ship terminal is a privately owned port complex and exclusively operated by cruise lines. Local tour companies are not allowed to have pick up service inside the complex nor have any representatives inside the port. All the excursions inside the Costa Maya port complex are operated only by cruise lines, if you book an excursion with Eco Experience you will have to leave the port complex in order to find our location and representatives.
Start time: This excursion is especially planned to meet cruise ship schedule, starting time mainly depends on your ship’s time of arrival, you will have a maximum of 45 minutes to get to our location once the ship has docked and has opened the doors for people to get off. Your driver and guide will be waiting for you with a sign with your name on it.
Remember this is a shared excursion, punctuality is very important, in order to take full advantage of the activity we must start on time. Please be respectful of other people’s time and be ready to start the excursion as soon as you get to the meeting point. Use the restroom and change your clothes before you leave the ship.

If you cancel at least 7 day(s) in advance of the scheduled departure, there is no cancellation fee. Cancelling between 6 and 3 day(s) in advance of the scheduled departure, there is a 50 percent cancellation fee. In case of cancellation within 24 hours of the scheduled departure, there is a 100 percent cancellation fee.
